What is Case Management?
Case management may seem like an unfamiliar term, but it simply means someone is ready to help students in need.
The Student Care Team provides non-clinical case management.
What Non-Clinical Case Management Is:
-
Available to all WSU students who are currently enrolled in one or more classes at no cost to the student
-
A dynamic process that allows trained professionals to understand students’ needs, identify resources, and monitor students’ progress to improve outcomes for students experiencing challenges that may impact their academic success.
-
Offered in-person, in Zoom, by phone, or email
-
A resource for limited emergency funding
What Non-Clinical Case Management is not:
-
Counseling or direct mental health services
-
Mandatory or required for any students
-
A replacement for meeting legal requirements such as those processes in the Center for Community Standards (CCS) or the Office of Compliance and Civil Rights (CCR)
